The Mölllerei was once the place for storing the fuels and minerals necessary for the continuous supply of the blast furnaces that processed the metals to be transformed into steel. The silos, rails and conveyor belts of its interior architecture have been preserved to bear witness to its industrial past. However, today – thanks to the vision behind Esch European Capital of Culture 2022 and Fonds Belval – Mölllerei is freely accessible to visitors who can admire its majestic architecture. It is also from this building that the visit of the Blast Furnace now begins. The Möllerei is open every day (except Tuesdays), from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (4 p.m. in winter), free admission.
