What does freedom sound like? What sound do you associate with this precious value? With this feeling? Where can this sound be found — in Esch, in Luxembourg, around the world, or within yourself?
For this exciting participatory sound creation project at the entrance of Esch’s Konschthal — and on Wednesday afternoons at Place Brill — you will find an automatic sound recording booth. There you can describe your sound of freedom, tell about your place of freedom, and invite the Liquid Penguin Ensemble to search for these sounds and record them.
Based on your contributions, the artists will create a sound piece that will be presented at the end of August at a listening station as part of the « State of Noise » exhibition. The show aims to provide a contemporary overview of the multiple channels, signals, and background noise that surround us daily, competing to attract our attention or diverting us from what is essential.
