The story of the May family begins in the late 19th century, when they left Vianden in Luxembourg, and settled in southern Brazil among other European immigrants.
Holding onto their Luxembourgish roots, the Mays blended tradition with Brazilian culture, creating a unique fusion of flavours that lives on in every product.
That fusion is at the heart of May’s Boulangerie et Pâtisserie, where authentic Brazilian tastes meet top-quality artisanal baking. From cornmeal and guava biscuits to Romeu e Julieta (sweet bread with cheese and guava), and savoury favourites like pão de queijo, esfirra, and bauru, everything is homemade and prepared on-site.
