The Ellergronn Nature and Forest Center hosts the permanent exhibition « Transition Now – Nature, Climate and Us », which is about the Anthropocene, its impacts on the environment, as well as the international, national, regional, and local actions, strategies, programs, and initiatives to implement the necessary societal transition to address it. The Ellergronn center is ideally suited to address these issues as it is located in the heart of the Minett region, which has been heavily affected by industrialization, but is now gradually transforming itself into a hub of knowledge and services while witnessing a restoration of nature’s resources in the former open-cast mines.
The exhibition is open between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm every day.
