From May to September 2024, Esch will host its very first Cultural Biennale under the title « Architectures”; a five-month-long celebration of the cultural richness of the city through the works of international and Luxembourgish artists. This Biennale is part of the city’s cultural transformation under the label « Esch Capitale Culturelle, » thus honouring its title as the European Capital of Culture 2022.
