For years, the Esch Animal Park Winter Festival has drawn crowds up the Galgenberg hill with its warm, welcoming charm, but this year, the Advent season promises something truly extraordinary. On November 22 and 23, the space in front of the educational farm will be transformed into a shimmering winter igloo village, brimming with seasonal delights for all ages.
Put on your skates and glide across the sparkling ice rink, open to everyone from tiny first-timers to seasoned skaters. (Bring your own skates if possible — a limited number will be available on site!)
Crackling fires invite visitors to gather round and roast stick bread, while inside one of the glowing igloos, enchanting Christmas stories are told. And of course, those who’ve been especially good this year may even catch a moment with St Nicholas, and snap a festive photo to prove it!
