This autumn, the National Museum of Resistance and Human Rights (MNRDH), in collaboration with Lëtz Art asbl and Égalité Esch, presents Ugegraff, a powerful exhibition that confronts both visible and invisible forms of domestic violence and abuse through the transformative power of contemporary art.
Ugegraff (Luxembourgish for scratched, marked, or scarred) brings together fifty artists in a unique, multidimensional experience. More than an exhibition, it is a powerful collective project that amplifies the voices of survivors, challenges entrenched social taboos, and reclaims public space as a site for healing, awareness, and collective action.
In parallel with the exhibition, a programme of events and workshops explores the themes and issues raised by the works on display:
Reconstruction workshops led by participating artists, open to individuals and groups: 4.10, 18.10, 8.11, 22.11, 6.12, 13.12
Restoration workshop for survivors, organised by the City of Esch’s Department of Gender Equality, Diversity, and Intercultural Living Together: 29 November 2025
Roundtable discussion on the role of art in preventing domestic violence and supporting survivors, hosted by the same department: 4 December 2025
